Dr. Alexander Bell and his Initiatives
Revolutionary transition to Alternative Renewable Energy on a massive scale
requires systematic approach, forward thinking and coordinated efforts of many
industries on every stage of Energy consumption cycle, namely: Generation,
Storage, Distribution and Conversion.
Green Electricity (GEL) Initiativetive and proposed
"Clean Energy Solution" authored by Dr. A. Bell addresses
all above areas with primary focus made on environmentally
preferred and cost-effective Energy Generation and Storage.
It outlines the technological and
organizational framework of so-called Eco-friendly engineering
its core provisions:
- Ultracapacitors replacing electrochemical Batteries
- Novel Alternative Renewable Energy Sources
- Design principles and best practices of micro-power Electronics
Conceptual umbrella of proposed efforts is composed around several
core technical ideas introduced in early revisions of “Green Electricity (GEL) Initiative”
and in milestone article “Single capacitor powers audio mixer” (EDN Magazine, Mar 1997),
extending them to the next level to cover the variety of highly
important Energy issues we are facing today.
Dr. Bell pioneered the R&D in the area of Ultracapacitor-powered portable electronics,
including the mission critical Air-Space/Orbital and Military applications,
and commercial applications as well.
EDUMATTER: Educational Web Portal
is another highly important project, initiated by Dr. Bell.
It is intended to complement and improve the existing US public
education system by providing a set of novel educational technology,
based on modern concept of Web 2.0, RIA and AJAX.
